New Event Feature

I need some help... In the new Event feature, how do I add a tag to indicate which event the contact registered for? When I add a tag to "Registered" it appears to be blanket, meaning that if I 2 or more events running in the same registration period... the same tag is applied to the contacts and not differentiated to a specific event. I hope that makes sense...
